Everyone—from top management to the waitstaff—has known me well and treated me with great respect. However, last night, Saturday, October 11th, I had the worst experience I’ve ever encountered at Zuma. I was dining with family and friends, seated at our tabe, and had already placed our order when a Lebanese Italian manager approached me after 20 minutes and asked me to leave the table to seat someone he apparently knew personally. His behavior was shockingly rude and completely unprofessional—as if Zuma were his personal property. When I refused to give up the table I was already seated at, he told me that this would be my last order at Zuma. In my 18 years of dining at Zuma—both personally and through corporate events I have hosted there—I have never been treated with such disrespect. This incident is unacceptable, especially at an establishment of Zuma’s global reputation. I will be escalating this matter to the appropriate authorities to ensure that such treatment, especially toward long-standing and loyal patrons, never happens again. The behavior of the security guard at the Saccorini parking entrance was extremely rude and unprofessional, especially towards single women. He repeatedly said “full” in a disrespectful tone and didn’t let us in, even at 9 PM. After going there three times, we finally managed to get in once. Our orders were brought out very slowly, one by one, and some of them were even wrong. The food was average at best, and overall, the experience was disappointing. The way the security treats single women is truly unacceptable, and I hope they take this seriously. Read more
